Brett's first career was on stage and in the teaching studio: a doctorate in viola performance, international chamber music, and two decades of teaching that placed students at Juilliard, Harvard, and the New England Conservatory. Classical training is a long apprenticeship in one idea — excellence isn't a mood, it's a practice.

Teaching is where this studio's method comes from. A good teacher diagnoses precisely, communicates clearly, and draws better work out of people than they knew they had. We run our design and engineering agents the same way: explicit briefs, short feedback loops, and no sign-off until the evidence is in.

That's the honest shape of the studio: AI implementers write the code; a human operator scopes the work, reviews every change, and holds the only key to production. Nothing ships on an agent's say-so — verification is written down, dated, and checked against a real build. It sounds like ceremony until the first time it saves your data.

Brett also co-founded a performing-arts nonprofit and led it for a decade as executive director — ten years of budgets, boards, donors, grants, and pledge drives from the inside of a working organization.
